Bryce Herman, DMATP (Distinguished Member in the Association of Tourism Professionals) CHS (Certified Hospitality Supervisor), has 35 years of experience in the Food & Beverage, Hospitality and Tourism Industries. Bryce is currently President & CEO of Advance Hospitality Consulting since 1996. The company provides management, leadership, fundraising, and consulting services to organizations, companies, individuals and not for profit groups in the hospitality, hotel and facilities, financial, education, tourism and community interest sectors.
Ken Lepin, C.A., P.Mgr. has resided in Kamloops since 1964. He is president of a construction company, and has been involved in commercial property development and rentals for 37 years, which has given him considerable personal, hands-on experience dealing with the problems, challenges, dreams and frustrations of a small business owner. Community service involvement has also been a large part of Ken's life as past Chairman - Chase Water Works District and member of various organizations including; City of Kamloops Board of Variance, Advisory Board - Business Care Program and past Chairman, Treasurer and board member of Kamloops United Church.
A Kamloops local, graduated from UBC with a Commerce Degree, Finance Major in 2003. His first career was in banking, as a Small Business Lender helping local businesses in day to day banking, lending and investing. During this time he was successful in completing his Certified Financial Planning designation. Currently, Paul is well into his second career as a producer for Simmons, Black and Emsland Insurance Services, a full-service insurance brokerage located in Kamloops. Paul advises and consults commercial clients on their risk exposures selling insurance products with respect to property and liability needs.
Currently a Senior Account Manager with the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), Sean has held several roles with BDC over the last 5 years, including work in business loan underwriting, entrepreneurship, commercial lending and business development fields. With his commercial banking experience focused on BC’s Interior region, primarily in the North East, Thompson-Okanagan and Cariboo, Sean has worked with a large variety of small to medium sized businesses in many different industries helping them grow by providing financing and business management coaching. Sean also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from TRU, with a Major in Economics. Sean believes that pro active economic development is essential to the health of a community. Sean is also an active Kamloops Daybreak Rotary member.
Paula was born and raised in Kamloops. For the past 13 years, she has worked at KPMG and is currently a partner working with small and large businesses providing audit and non-audit services including business and taxation advisory. Paula has considerable business experience having worked with KPMG in Vancouver and London, UK with various companies primarily in the retail and communication industries. She returned to Kamloops in June of 2008 to settle with her husband Pete who immigrated from Australia and their son Luca. Paula is an active member with various community organizations and is a member of Daybreak Rotary.
Lincoln was born in Kamloops and grew up in Chase. He obtained his BSc in Biological Sciences at the University of Victoria, and went on to work in a variety of research and industrial roles throughout the province of BC. While completing his PhD in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, Lincoln founded a company which developed, and then went on to manufacture high-accuracy response-time measurement devices for use in psychophysical research. Active in the entrepreneurial community, Lincoln consults for small start-up companies and continues to develop his own small business interests in the United Kingdom and Canada.
Deb McClelland has been working at the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce since 1999 and has served in the capacity of Executive Director since 2003. Well connected to the business community, Deb strives to build relationships with all business organizations and to promote and support businesses within our city.
