Gail Scott has been an active practitioner of community economic development throughout the Province of BC for the past 18 years. Working for or on behalf of Government, NGOs, First Nations, and the private sector as well as living in urban economic centers and rural resource based communities has provided her the knowledge and skills needed to adopt an ‘agent of change’ attitude. She has a Business Administration Management Diploma from the University of Calgary, a Retail Management Certificate and is a certified member of the Canadian Evaluation Society.
Michel provides a full-spectrum of business services helping business capitalize on new opportunities in Kamloops. With his passion for helping people, Michael is your first point of contact to relocate your hi-tech firm, manufacturing plant or distribution company to Kamloops.
Michael is an accomplished sales and marketing professional successfully implementing campus recruitment programs for UBC, Langara College and Thompson Rivers University. Earning a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University and a post baccalaureate in Internet Marketing from the University of British Columbia, Michael has 10 years of business development and 10 years of hospitality management experience to help grow the Kamloops economy.
Anita's responsibilities include the day-to-day business retention, attraction and expansion activities. As the primary liaison for Venture Kamloops, Anita works with all levels of government, key industry associations, and all sizes of businesses to help to attract investment, strengthen Kamloops' current businesses and grow the Kamloops economy.
Anita has worked for the Department of Information Technology, Province of Manitoba, the Canadian International Development Agency in Hull, Quebec and in the trade department of the Canadian Embassy in Moscow. She holds a Masters degree in Public Administration from the University of Manitoba.
Wendy manages Venture Kamloops BusinessCARE program. She is self-employed and specializes in business troubleshooting and coaching entrepreneurs to successfully understand the key components of their business and make changes for sustainable growth. Wendy works with hundreds of clients helping Kamloops business grow and prosper. Wendy is active with corporate clients as well as small to medium sized businesses in Europe and North America. Wendy earned a degree in education and business management from University of West England. She is also a level three counselor, a qualified high school teacher and adult education trainer. She has over 10 years experience as a senior manager within regional government and thrived on the challenges that this position engendered.
Cindy is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Venture Kamloops office and will be your first contact, welcoming all inquiries. She enjoys working with the public and will be happy to assist you or direct you to the appropriate person.
