Venture Kamloops, with partnership funding provided by Forest Renewal BC,
Specific deliverables were the development of an industry profile, examination of opportunities in the multi-billion dollar North American home building market as well as global markets and the creation of an action plan to guide industry growth.
The process began as a follow-up to the Woodbridge report, Evolution of the North American Home Building Industry, completed for FRBC by Peter Woodbridge and Associates Ltd. and released in January 2001. The Woodbridge report focused on the province as a whole. The Venture Kamloops project focuses on opportunities in the Thompson-Nicola region.
In summary, our region has all the elements for a strong value-added wood industry ¡ª it is Ready to Assemble in the TNRD.
